Heute am 24. Dezember ist Heiligabend, der Beginn der Weihnachtsfeiertage. Viele Menschen machen sich heute wieder einmal auf den Weg in die Kirchen um in Gottesdiensten die Geburt Jesu Christi zu feiern.

Weihnachten ist ein fröhliches Fest, nicht nur für die Unternehmer, die sich über den Umsatz freuen, sondern auch für die vielen Geschenkempfänger oder aber diejenigen, die Weihnachten wieder wie Kaiser und Könige speisen werden.

Dies alles macht Weihnachten aus und dennoch gerät das Wichtigste immer wieder in Vergessenheit. Gott hat uns vor vielen Jahren Jesu Christi, seinen Mensch gewordenen Sohn auf die Erde geschickt, um uns zu zeigen, wie groß seine Liebe ist.

Er kündigt diesen durch einen Propheten an indem er sagt: „Seht, die Jungfrau wird ein Kind empfangen, einen Sohn wird sie gebären, und man wird ihm den Namen Immanuel geben.“ Immanuel heißt übersetzt: Gott ist mit uns.

Die schwierige Frage, die sich uns heute stellt ist, wo ist Gott denn nun heute mit uns? Jesus Christus ist gestorben und wenn man genau hinschaut, dann ist wenig Begreifbares geblieben. Wir haben Kirchengebäude, Priester und Bischöfe, natürlich auch den Papst in der katholischen Kirche, wir haben viele caritative Einrichtungen, aber wo wird Gott an diesen Stellen begreifbar?

Die Antwort ist einfach und liegt oftmals direkt unerkannt vor uns: Gott ist gleich Liebe. So können wir sagen, dass überall da wo Liebe einen Raum hat auch Gott ist oder anders formuliert überall da wo Menschen lieben Gott zugegen ist. Zwischen Eltern und Kindern, zwischen Ehepartnern oder aber in Freundschaften überall finden wir den Ansatz von Liebe. Es ist also gar nicht so schwer zu verstehen, was es mit der Geburt von Jesu Christi auf sich hat.

In diesem Sinne wünsche ich allen Besuchern, ihren Familien und Freunden ein frohes und besinnliches Weihnachtsfest.

Today at the 24th of December is Christmas Eve, which is the beginning of the Christmas feast days. Many people are going to church once again to take part at a church service, where the birth of Jesus Christ is celebrated.

Christmas is a feast full of happniness not only for business man, who are happy about their turnover, but also for the many people, who receives gifts or for the people, who will dine such as kings or imperators.

This all is Christmas, but the most important is falling into oblivion. God has sent us many years ago the Son of Man to earth for showing us how big his love is.

He announced him through a prophet, who said: „ Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel.” Emmanuel may translate as: God is with us.

The most difficult question, which rises up is, where is God with us today? Jesus Christ died and if we look more into detail than is less really touchable left over. We have church buildings, priest, bishops and of course the pope in the catholic church, we also have many caritative institutions, but where is God really touchable?

The answer is quite easy and lies quite often unrealized directly in front of us: God is equal Love. In this way we can say that overall, where love a room has God is present or in other words we may say that wherever people spending love there is also God. Due to that we find between parents and children, between couples or in friendships all signs of love. Through that it is not hard to understand, what the birth of Jesus Christ means.

I wish all visitors, their families and friends a merry and contemplative Christmas Feast.
