Yesterday the city Karlskrona welcomed all students from the Blekinge Institute of Technology. First of all some different parties presented themselves such as the cultural department of the town or TelecomCity one of the major employers in Karlskrona.

This first part was very boring, but what happened next was quite funny, when looking back. As the buffet was opened all the people got crazy like predators and pillaged everything what was offered within a couple of minutes. Actually we were really lucky that we got a taste of everything, because we were standing next to the table were the food was offered, when the start was made. The food was typical Swedish and consisted out of crispbread, cheese and some warm chopped potatoes, which are called “Janssons frestelse”.

Later on there was a Swedish Folk-Dance group performing for one hour traditional Swedish dances, which some of us could view out of a really nice position, whilst sitting on the only table in the room directly next to the dance floor .

When the traditional dances were over a party started with DjOriental, who was a bit crazy, because he changed permanently the music style and often songs were only played half way through other songs were played several times within a short period of time. But even the music wasn’t the main advantage at this party; unfortunately some of the Pakistani people again (like at the trip to Poland) didn’t understand that the European women weren’t interested to dance with them or even get touched by them. So at some stages the party equaled more like hide-and-seek – but a really worse version of it were European women had to hide behind European men to don’t get caught by pushy Pakistani men.

Finally it is to say that it was a more or less average evening, but we have done the best out of it!
